~Adidas goes for gold~
~Since 1928 Adidas has set the stage for performance when Karolina Radkebatschauer won the gold metal in Amsterdam wearing the Adidas Spikes. Then, with Jesse Owens in 1932 winning his metal in style with Adidas, and in Berlin, 1948 repeating history was "Emil the Locomotive"whom wore the gold metal charm. <3 <3 By then, 80% of all olympic athletes wore Adidas shoes, but that's not what broke the "camel's back for popularity"it was when Steffi Graf defeated Gabriela Sabatini in her Adidas tennis shoes. Then, The Sydney Olympics, then Beijing, Adidas clearly the real winner with 5.8 billion in sales by 2000, selling over 500,000 units of sports equipment in 43 varieties of shoes. They must be comfortable if 26 out of the 28 sports athletes were sponsored by Adidas! Now, the times have changed because its more about "My Media, My Time!" When a product has reputation, the only thing left to do is make it go viral as David Beckham did when he teamed with Adidas July 23, 2012 The campaign called 'Take the Stage' at a photo booth in Stratford City Shopping Centre. So much excitement in the air as Beckham surprised over 60 people whom were in the booth already, and he took the shot with him in it too & answered questions. The sportswear capital that Beckham is part of and also the official sponsor of the 2012 , using social media to spread the word that Adidas is London Olympics! adidas@davidbechham.com
